Reaching Perfection

Reaching Perfection

I’ve been smoking cigarettes lately

Wearing sunglasses

Working on my cuticles

Trying to hit that ceiling

Baby, perfection is in my sights

Sun shines and white teeth

Picnics that last for hours

Champagne dribbling out of your mouth

Simplicity in its

Simplicity in its finest

Baby, we’ll be fine

I’ve been holding a lot of hands lately

Wearing cuff links and argyle

I’ve been eating a lot of apple pie lately

Running around this city

It’s only a matter of time

I put in the overhaul

It’s only a matter of when, baby

Brain dead is within my reach

I’ve been scrubbing my shoes lately

Tying my tie

Eating with a napkin

I’m getting close to normal
